Fry's Trip Today - June 23 Thursday...Great Deals-a Few Lessons Learned

Sooo...I made a few mistakes today...still an awesome trip but a few things for y'all and myself to continue to watch out for in the future:

1.  I found some deals too good to pass up and bought some "off my list" items!  This happens and still great sales, however I went over my budget.  I wanted to spend $41 on todays trip with sales and coupons-spent $70.  GREAT stock up but still ..luckily my budget is not super tight!

Mistake#2 - There was only 1 cashier open when I checked out and it was a older female! YIKES!  Of course she scrutinized EVERY coupon, did not double the competitor coupons-most of the cashiers do but since there was a line forming behind me and she seem mad that I was saving so much, I did not make a fuss.
(Always try  to go to the young guy cashiers..they don't give a fig about the coupons)...I should have circled the store until another one opened up because I knew that would happen with her...just an fyi!

So I paid $70.17 and SAVED $99.82  59%....Anything over 50% is good, the higher the better of course!

Got 2 of those (Oreo Mint Icecream-Breyers!) for $1.74 each! A STEAL!  At Fry's they were marked $5.99 but I had a Safeway Coupon for $2.49 each...and I used a Target Coupon for $1.50 of 2 Breyers Icecream!

Got 3 TicTacs FREE...marked $1.00 used $.75/1 from June 12 Redplum Insert.


These are on sale for $2.50 each!  I LOVE THESE!  I got 5 packages $12.50 but also had a Fry's Catalina for $3.00 off any $15 in Frozen Items! (The Breyers counted towards the $15). So for me these were only $1.80 Each!

- 24 Pack of Arrowhead Water Orig $3.49  and a 6 Pack of Arrowhead Water Orig $2.00 - had coupons from May 22nd Redplum - $1.00 off 24/pack when you buy a 6 Pack, and $.75 off a 6 pack so got both for $3.49.

- 1 Large 32 oz Yoplait Yogurt Vanilla (good with diced apples and honey!) - $3.19 used Coupon .55/off from this last weeks Smartsource-6-19, so $2.19 when doubled.

 Got 3 of these on sale $1.00 for son's lunch for summer camp

Also on sale for $1.00 - got 1 Kroger Brand French Onion Dip (Dean's is also on sale for $2.09 which there is a Target Q for $1.00 off so it would be $1.09), and 1 Kroger Fat Free Sour Cream for $1.00.

**** MY FAVE SALE ITEM THIS WEEK! ****These Hillshire Farm Lunch Meats are only $1.00 each..........Yay....I stocked up and got 5 of them!  Watch expirations..the Chicken ones are in July (12th) but the Turkey goes to Aug 3!

- 2 Kroger Sliced Cheese $1.79 each orig but had a Target Q for $1.00/2 Market Pantry Sliced Cheese-made these only $1.29 each!  (Coupon is on Target.com...way at bottom is link for coupons)

4 Fuji Apples .99/lb = $1.56
2 Huge Russet Potatoes .99/lb... = $1.65 (since I have been eating these instead of chips-lost more weight!) -I can use the French Onion Dip on these instead of chips!

2 Dole Salad Mix Bags..on sale .88...these actually were a moneymaker for me..had 2 coupons for $1.00 any Dole Bag.  I purchased some extra inserts from Ebay I think these are not avail in AZ...from back East.

1 10 oz A1 Steak Sauce $2.99 but had $1.00 off Target Coupon and $1.00/1 - 6-5-11 Smartsouce= .99

5 Powerade Sport Drinks...SALE .55/each = $2.75

2 6packs of Hersey Bars - $3 each but had $1.00/2 Target Q and $1.25/1 Fry's sent me in mailer so $3.75 for 12 candy bars = .31 each

5 Kellogs Cereals , 3 were $1.99 when you buy 5 and 2 were $2.25 so total WYB5 $10.47 -used $1/3 Kellogg Cererals and $1/2 Kellogg Special K Cereals so $8.47 = $1.70 each box

These are on sale for $1.25 each-bought 4 bags $5.00 used 2x$1.00/2 Nabisco Cookies or Crackers from (I think 6-12 inserts)...= $3.00 or .75 each!

- 2 Ritz Crackerfuls (some of the Nabisco Crackers are on sale $1.99/box-these were not but we love them)...these are $2.99 on sale...had 2 $1.00 coupon//printable (I think coupons.com)...so $3.98 or $1.99 a box after the coupons.

ARE part of the $1.99 sale--good price-got 4 so $7.96 also used 2 more of the $1/2 Nabisco Coupons so $5.96 or $1.49 each.

Lastly....these (YUM! Hubby and son love the Choc/Mint!-much cheaper than Girl Scout Cookies!)...
$1.18 when you buy 5 so I bought 5 = $5.90 ONLY for 5 packages of cookies!! Yay..good thing we have a big pantry!
